New forum member, older racer

I'm Shannon and live in the Ft. Worth area. I run a local car club called Lone Star Muscle. I've been racing since I could drive and working on cars for a lot longer. My first V8 car was a 70 Camaro SS. I sold it to get my current daily driver. It is a 2000 Camaro SS w/a 408, t56, fabbed 9", and the list goes on. It was stock when I got it though. The engine had been in less than a year and I'm already wanting to make more power with it.
Why am I here? My wife traded in her TBSS for a G8 GXP w/T56. She suprised me by getting a red car and a manual. So, I'm on here looking for things to do to it. I don't like the mushy feel of the shifter so, I'll be seeing if an f-body short stick will work. I've got a friend that runs an exhaust and performance shop so I'd like to have him build a 3" system for it. I like the G8's enough that if I didn't have so much invested in my f-body, I'd sell it and build me a G8.
