    Default Just started modding my '09.5 pbm gt

    It's actually the WIFE'S car She wanted a Civic Si, But I wanted something more comfortable. After looking at srt calibers, used 335i's, and civics, I convinced her to look at the g8. She wanted a manual trans but the GXP was too much $$,$$$. I was able to get find her the sunroof she wanted though (not an easy task!). I just wish I would have waited a day since they announced Pontiac's demise the very next day. I can say that I'm completely happy and wouldn't have changed my mind on the car, just would have tried to get a better deal ($32,000 w/ 0% for 72mo.). I started using the saved money down for mods. So far Lorenzo staggered 20's w/ falkens (should have gone w/ wider tires out back!), Pedders Drop springs, Vararam intake, Precision industries 2,400rpm triple disc converter (ebay from haddad), and a cortex tuner. Future plans are for long tubes, and a custom tune....then perhaps a cam! All mods were don by ME and let me tell you the converter was a BITCH! Can't be scared dropping the trans from a car w/ less than 700 miles on it! I love to wrench and am a Union Ironworker by trade. Kevin, Sorry for the novel.

    welcome to the panther club.. hell.. did everyone that bought a G8 look at used 335i's first? lol
    Actually if they could have matched the warranty.... I would have bought the bimmer..

    This is how I told ther wife I was getting a new car. i said that's it I'm getting a new today, you coming? She said yeah and jumped in. I already knew what I wanted, a GT. I tried it and a V6 out the V8 won hands down I just tried the V6 to appease the salesman anyway, but I told her this will be our next car, she asked me how much and I said not much money, haha! At the end of the day we drove out, ran out of gas across the street got gas and were on our merry way, and have been since. We have a deal: I don't tell her what kind of clothes to buy and she doesn't tell me what kind of cars to buy.
