Default pulley swap / serpentine belt change?

For you gent's who have changed pulley sizes (Maggie based) -- did you change the serpentine belt size as well?

I've notice some who went from the stock 3.3" down to 3.0" even 2.9" -- did you change belt sizes?

....or does the tensioner pick up the slack? (effectively with no slip)

Changed belt sizes for sure on mine. Having to upgrade now to an 8-rib system for the road course- 6-rib belts keep shredding.

Thanks guys! There are these "relatively new" Gates belts I want to look at. They are dog ugly green - but apparently more durable.

I went down 1/2 inch shorter with a Goodyear belt. 3.0 inch pulley. No problems.

Thanks for that Henry, I've been wondering who made those. I saw one at ECS on a Hendrix Camaro; I'll take a look.

The green belts are the Gates Fleetrunner. Supposedly more durable and have less stretch over time.

I found they have a race line that's blue; wonder which one is better, the Fleetrunner or race.

When I changed to the 2.8" pulley I swapped to a 101" belt and also changed to a 60mm idler to help with belt wrap
