Default P0171/P0174 Lean code causing issues

    Hello all,

I am wondering if I can get some feedback. I recently had my car built by RPM and they did a cam, stall, etc..and the car did 430/400 on 93. The car has been running fantastic, besides a sporadic P0171 sometimes P0174 code. I usually reset with my aeroforce and continue. I looked into it a bit more and read it could be a vacuum leak. I looked under the hood at all hoses, and saw this..I couldn't see it with my rotofab covers on..

I plugged it back in, and reset the code..And went for a ride. As I was making a left hand turn into a gas station, the car lost all power. This happened a few more times at red lights. I am not sure what to do now, if I should unplug what was unplugged..and get retuned?

Just seems weird that this happened once I plugged that connection back in..sorry, I'm technologically stupid..I don't know the exact terminology

    Thanks in advance.

That's the breather to the intake manifold. If they did a cam that should be blocked off and that line ran somewhere else, if I'm not mistaken.
    Rest in Peace Charlie!

That line hooked from back driver side valve cover to front passenger sde valve cover if I'm not mistaken. Even with a cam all those pcv lines had to be reconnected

If they tuned it with that line off it would effect your idle tables as they added or took away fuel to make up for a vacuum leak

Either way It looks like I'll be needing a retune.

Yup that port should have been capped with a DOD to non-DOD cam swap. I think the line that used to run there now runs to the LS2 valley cover port, but I'd have to pop my hood and look to know for sure. My memory is fuzzy.

Under C is the PCV valve.
If you have an AFM hardware delete, with new replacement LS2/LS3 valley plate, then C will be capped off.
Otherwise it remains as the exit point from the crankcase for foul air from your engine.

D is the connection point (vacuum) on the intake manifold where the foul air line connects. The same point is used no matter what valley plate or catch can you use.

PCV foul air line C-D should always be connected unless you have re-routed the foul air thru a catch can or have an AFM hardware delete with LS2/LS3 valley plate.
