CA 's sequoias are monstrous and beautiful. The GXP had a good time twisting up the canyon roads too! And we showed that tree who's boss!

Was this the Mariposa grove at Wawona, south of Yosemite? If so, they definitely are beautiful. I love the hotel at Wawona, too.

Just as much fun is Calaveras Big Trees State Park. Like Mariposa, there are Sequoias everywhere. BUT there are no roads, low foot traffic, and no ropes to keep you from setting yourself up right beside the tree for a pic.
