Default Removal of front license plate box

I was wondering how you get the box on the front that hold the license plate? I took my plate off the other day to see how this thing was held on and looks like they are a special rivit.

    Any suggestions?

It is riveted on with the same rivets that they use for window regulators.

Wasn't it 3/4 inch bit that would drill those out? You might want to rethink taking it off, you aren't going to like what you find underneath the license plate holder.

Bah! Sand, fill, smooth, blend, repaint and you have a Holden SS V-Series Special Edition front clip - just take the Pontiac arrowhead off while you're doing it.

But I do agree that if you're just going to take the front license plate holder off and do nothing else past that - probably will be disappointed but the holes and the rub marks.

Exactly what I did, except I repainted the whole bumper with ChromaPremiere after reading about all of the paint problems we have. I also topped it off with thirdshift's awesome G8 concept badge.
