Default Decided on what I'm getting to replace the GXP.

I know I'll catch flack for this but, it fits what I am looking for in a car right now, which is wife friendly and not a slug in the performance department. I'm getting a 2010 Infiniti G37S sedan. The magazines claim 0-60 in ~5.6 and 1/4 mile in the high 13s @ around 102 mph. That isn't too awful bad for a V6 automatic with 4 doors

In case anyone is wondering what I could see in the Infiniti I'll list some things that are nice options.

7 speed automatic transmission (with th option to use paddle shifters on the steering wheel)
    memory seating
    navigation
    back up camera and sonar

Here's a video of the car going up against the SHO Taurus. The Infiniti in the video is a 2009 but they didn't change much in 2010.

That is not a bad choice. I test drove one close to a year ago and it drives proper with a little gitty up. I actually like the way that engine sounds. RWD is a plus. There is mod options if you want to do them later.

Wouldnt be a bad choice. Better than a FORD. lol..

Not a bad choice at all. The V6 even sounds good through the exhaust.

Good selection. Would have been my choice as well. I have had 2 Infinitis, a 931/2 G-20 (Referred to by R/T as the Japanesse BMW) and a 94 J30t with the 4 wheel steer. Both were great cars and very problem free. Infiniti service is outstanding. Did I mention Infiniti service is outstanding. Drop your car off and get a loaner. You won't be disappointed. BTW, tell your little girl that I said not to kick you in the knee. My next will probably be an Infiniti as our choiced and rear wheel drive are growing slim. Best of luck, will see you down the road. PS Thanks for all the help and advice, Chris

The engine in the G37 sounds harsh. Not very refined. I'll bet the SHO has a bigger interior.
    Rest in Peace Charlie!
