    Default Harmonic Balancer Torque spec?

Hey guys, wondering what your torquing your balancers to?

After my cam install I went over all the bolts and the balancer was loose again, I used a balancer installer and then torqued it to 150 lbs which is what alldata said. My friend asked someone he knows what he torques them to on vettes and he says 230 lbs. I presume 150 isnt enough if its backing off, so I take it 230 would be right?

Also I really hate the design im tempted to slot the crank and balancer to put a keyway in it for ease of mind.

According to the Magnuson manual and other stuff I've read......they come from the factory tightened to 240 ft lbs with locktight!!!! Yikes! Try doing that on your back in a garage by yourself!!!!!

Spec is 240 ft-lbs with a GM bolt. Remove the bolt and replace with a new TTY Bolt. Torque to 37 ft-lbs and stretch 140 degrees.

Most of us tossed the GM TTY bolt, went with the ARP.
    Rest in Peace Charlie!
