Chicagoland members, you going to the Taste?

I am heading back home to Chicago to visit family for the 4th of July holiday. I have not been to the Taste of Chicago in about 5 years. Several family members are going but I am debating whether to go or not. I hate the massive crowds and long wait sometimes to get the food I want. Has anything changed in the past five years? Are you going or passing this year?

I was born and raised in Chicago and have attended 20+ 'Tastes' but haven't been in about three years.

Between the crowd,the fights,the invasive police presence,and the overpriced-under prepped food it is not as I remember it.

I would attend if there was a good enough band playing but short of that....I think I'll save my cash and time for the G8.

Last time I was there a fight broke out and there was no cops around. We watched it until both guys got tired of punching each other and they went their seperate ways.

Thanks for the feedback. I just realized why I have not bothered to go the past 5 years.

Yeah it sucks now a days! Havent been in years and could care less.
