    Default Neighbor's cat

My next door neighbor has a couple of cats that like to hang out on my property. I have dogs and they usually chase the cat off, however one of them likes to lay on the top of my G8 at night.

So I've been thinking about ways to keep the neighbor's cat off of my car w/o hurting it. And the best (and cheapest) I've been able to come up w/ is putting a strip of duct tape sticky side up where the cat normally lays. The only issue I see with this is the cat somehow sticking itself to my car overnight.....

    Any thoughts?

Well you would have to do it every night. I dont think it will stop doing it. Just but a blanket so it wont scratch the paint.

    car cover?

or give it a little blast of water & hope it learns, and associates sitting on this car means getting water in its face.

Call animal control and have them capture the cat and take it away. Leash laws are for ANIMALS, not just dogs. People who let damned cats roam should lose them. I hate cats, especially when they climb on my cars.

Lol, unless you find a way of making the hood cool the cat is gonna lay on it. They love warm things to lay on.

This. The water. It will learn.

It's just a fellow G8 enthusiast, let's keep that in mind.

    Don't do this.^

Just spray it with a hose when you see it on there. It will most likely not do it again. Cats aren't as dumb as dogs and will usually avoid something like that.

Funny you should mention this. I have the exact same problem. Somebody recently told me there is a spray product at Pets Mart that will keep cats away. I haven't checked it out yet but I will report back when I do.
