My friend works for a dealership so I ordered new costed about $1,100 that way I have a warranty. I had it installed by my friend as well since he is allowed to do side work at his job so we had a lift to use and took about 2 hours or so. Make sure you have a good HP tuner that know about the 3.27. I can chirp each gear up to 3rd and sometimes 4th. Also going down the road in sport mode and kicking it down into 3rd I can get a little spin. My next mod will be a stall.

The way to go is brand new when you go with this mod. that way you have a warrantee also since you will be swapping the diff out you might as well do some upgrading of you suspension parts in the rear. The car feels even better in the handling. As for the install my friend works for a large automotive shop so we were able to use the lift and it was about a 2 hour job. They are a direct fit as the gxp came with the 3.27 diff. As for me I have ordered a Circle D stall 2800 since I believe that will help me since my car feels faster off the line and chirps all the way into 3th but my 1/4 mile times have stayed the same but I also added 20" chrome wheels. I am also doing a stage 1b DOD delete and cam set up as well and hoping to be in the 12s and around mid 400s as well. I think the most important thing is that you have to know a great tuner that knows HP tuners because that will take advantage of doing the swap since it is about a $3k mod.

I believe that have have read no less than four times in this one thread how your car chirps the tires all the way into 4th gear now - we get it. Obviously you have traction issues, and a stall is not going to help that any, although you might not chirp the tires during shifts anymore. New is not the only way to go on the diff. Very low mile take outs can be had for half of what you paid. Also, the GXP 3.27 diff is different than the Camaro diff, just happens to be same gear ratio. Lastly, you don't need a "great" tuner to make the most out of gears. A Superchips handheld can adjust for gear ratio changes, and it's one field in HP Tuners that any novice tuner could change.

Well that makes two of us then. I was thinking the same. I don't think that it takes a great tuner to make your shit break loose on every gear change. Take a couple values to 0/off, get in the throttle and you can be beating the shit out of your trans and tires in no time.

Not trying to take anything away - but damn I thought I was in the fuckin twilight zone reading the same thing over and over.
