Only thing better than the G8 is having AWD but it's probably a crappy AWD system like Haldex. (Just Googled it and yes, they are using Haldex.) Why bother to implement AWD if you're just going to use a Haldex system? Unless they're using the new torque vectoring Haldex which could possibly not suck.

Geez, who was driving that G8? They have an egg between the foot and the pedal? Road & Track was banging out 5 second 0-60 runs and 13.5 quarters on the 2008 G8 GT. They can add a perf package to the SHO if they want but I doubt it drops eight / five tenths.

The article said it lack the performance pack items (suspension, rear gear setup and braking) and that it cost more than the G8GT (almost same cost of the GXP) so what is SHO about it? Twin turbos in the Ford needed to match the G8GT. Sounds like a rebadged Tarus and a bad job of it.

All SHO are rebadged Tauri

Wow, plenty of negative input to go around! I think it's a refreshingly cool thing they did with it. Ford is know for the Mod motors and Eaton blower's, but not known much for twin turbo designs and powerful sedans (outside of the Marauder.)

Haven't seen one in person but I think they are nice cars. Just too heavy and pricey to contend with our cars.

I saw a commercial for one today for the first time. It looks like a pretty sweet car. I can't see paying that much for one though.

meh...idk...just doesn't do if for me looks wise. I've seen pics of the interior and that looked waaay better than our interior. But the exterior just isn't doing it for me.

Do you know that this car is not aimed towards our G8s. It's not meant to be a track scorcher. It's a more powerful Taurus and the engine is held back mainly by it's FWD transmission. This engine can easily get 400 hp on a RWD platform....like the Mustang. Then all you idiots won't be so quick to bash Ford when said Mustang will demolish us with a tune...

The turbos are small but that does not mean they have nothing left in them.
