    Default Drilling Crankshaft Question.......

I am installing a 6.0 in my car and am transferring a Vortech blower setup to it. Question is.......what have you guys used in the past to drill the crank in order to put on your ATI balancers? There is a dow pin that goes all the way through the crank, and being it is a hardened piece of steel was wondering what you guys suggest?

Don't have time to order a drilling kit, so was wondering if anyone has other ideas?

    Thanks

The only thing I ever used was very similiar to the one MagnaCharger sends to pin the crank. I have never seen a tool kit for it or an alternative.

The guy that put the blower on my LS1 did a home drilling scenario and bought a dowel pin from a hardware store....he is not responding to my calls but know we did not order anything to do it on that engine.
