try calling another dealer , youll need to go down and sign a waver though

Thats the least they can do ..Nice to have a 16 to drive around. Knowing my dealer they would give me a golf cart.

Yeah Im going to check around.. I was told that I should've had the option of signing a waiver.

mine gave me the choice , and i only bypassed the keys for now , my flip is loose and wont stay tight , told them its the only key ive got and dont want to give up the flip , but i wanted to leave the recall open incase the next person wants it or i need a new key

he also told me they would give me both keys

Mine did not give me a choice ..they also said I would lose the flip and get a regular fixed blade key back. I already have one that came with the car when purchased. Maybe I will just bring the fixed blade key like JAFO mentioned. Just to satisfy GM and OnStar so they will not bother me anymore.

My flip key is pretty loos too. I was hoping to rebuild it with a new spring and new pads etc.

mine the screw gets loose and stays that way , and the button rubber is getting close to that done for stage

well by both they would give the flip turned fixed , and the fixed with the turned blade , so i would have 2 keys instead of just the one flip

yeah tell them all you have is the fixed , and see if they will give you the 2nd key

though to keep your other flip , youll need a friend that can program the key/remotes , so you can have all 3

unless you can see everything from the crank to ring gear , you likely missed it

ive seen them crack around the bolts at the crank , and you couldnt see anything , and that was with the older 350/400's with the whole lower cover that removes for inspection
