On Friday evening I got the ABS fault light while driving to meet some friends for dinner. Was able to scan the codes today and got a C0035 for the left front sensor. After going through the troubleshooting procedure the harness checked out fine so it looks like I'll be replacing the front hub.

The only problems I've ever had with this car are the EVAP vent solenoids, which I'm on my third one, and wheel speed sensors, which this will be the third one I've had to replace. As much as I would've hated to re-replace one of the rears, at least they're a lot easier to swap out than the front sensors...

Sorry to hear about your dad texn884.

I'm trying to stuff this IC into the car. Any idea how low or high it needs to be? The bumper cap is buried at themoment.

Replaced my window switch that was getting iffy on the up function. Luckily, I got a replacement before my window was stuck down. FYI, there is a YouTube video of a guy changing one in a VE. Fairly easy, but those clips are tight and take a little finesse and patience.

I've seen a lot of G8s running around with the blacked out upper grills, so I decided to do it. I picked up some of the Rustoleum Peel Coat at Auto Zone. I figured if I didn't like it, I could just peel it off. I was leary buying the Rustoleum brand versus the Plasti Dip brand, but I'm very happy with how it turned out. I also decided to coat the area around the lower grills as well. I like the aggressive look!

I also painted my valve covers with a high temp engine enamel in metallic black.
