Default "Sucking" sound after catch can install?

I'm getting a sucking sound after I installed my catch can. It seems to be coming from the can itself, has anyone else experienced this?

This is somewhat normal. As long as you have no check engine light you are OK.

Yes she was actually. Maybe that's what I was hearing. Shouldn't I have felt it too?

On a more serious note, I checked the can after about an hour of driving and there was a small amount of oil inside. Working already! I've got 1,555 miles on the car, by the way.

I made the can from various parts from Home Depot, total cost was $32.00. I can post pics if anyone is interested, it seems to be working just as well as the expensive ones.

I've got one as well. If it's one of those air filter bowl things for air tools. You might want to check out the little valve that drains it. On mine..if it pushes in to drain...that means that air pressure keeps it closed. YOu have to push in to drain it. But in this case..being on a vacuum,it will pull the valve open and always be pulling in outside air..aka a leak. Mine did that..made a small sucking sound. So I made a small spacer out of a rubber washer and slipped it over the nipple, which keeps it pulled out(closed). I just have to remove the spacer and push it in to drain it.

    ^maybe that helps....

^ that's interesting because mine is the air filter bowl filter thing. I used a rubber nipple to cover the spigot on the bottom of the bowl. It seems to be air tight now. I'm going to go out and check it again.

    Thanks for the info!
