    what did you do to your Ls1? I cooked the oil pump and blew mine up. Had to get a new long block.

    I think you take the case apart, shove a towel inside to press the cpu back down on the mobo and it will work for a while. (at least until something else overheats or the towel just catches fire...)

    Mine did the exact same thing. I thought it was my sending unit that I had just replaced, which upon replacement, fixed all the issues. Turned out to be a wierd coincidence. Bye bye bearings!

    Yup, that's exactly what I did. Wrapped three around it for about 25 min, then removed everything and let it cool down for another 20 min. Been good ever since.
