Default New motor for my TA!

This will make you proud Ktlplxm.

As many know, my LS1 in my TA grenaded........

So I put down the first $1k on a LQ4/9 Iron 6.0 427 shortblock, that's right 427!!!! It's a 4.125 stoke w/ -6cc 4032 Pistons w/ Hellfire Rings, Eagle 4340 Crank, and EPro H beam rods w/ ARP 2000s. All for $3600 so not too shabby. They're only building 20 for the first wave of shortblocks, due to limited piston availability, so I had to jump on it.

Plan on running some Ported and milled L92s, ported LS3 intake from Faster Proms, L92 oil pump, and a Pat G custom cam.

Take pictures of the install when you start getting around to it! That'll be interesting to see done.

I'm going to go out on a limb (no comments from the Penguin gallery) and guess you are going to make more than 435 rwhp!

I hope so! At least hoping for +450hp/+400tq. I won't get too radical with the top end setup, maybe keep the cam in the low-mid 230's, and .600-.620 lift. Trying to peg it @ 11.0:1 compression also, maybe lower, due to 90-91 octane being the highest here. I really like the L92 heads potential, so I'm going to try them on a big cube motor to really test them out.

How'd you blow up the ls1? How many miles where on it? The new motor sounds sick.

Very nice. I'm not looking to replace the motor in my TA anytime soon but I will build a monster when it finally does go.

Oil pump's relief valve stuck open, so essentially my pump failed, and took some crank and rod bearings with it. All with 65k miles!

No Ford Jokes :P - but my rear main seal was going out at 50k on the F150, which is why we traded it in. I only had the damn thing for 6,000 miles!!
