Because the LS3 intake is no slouch, and doesn't limit performance, unless you're running something like Ktlplxm

25whp for $1400 isn't terrible after all people regularly pay $700-1100 for an exhaust that might give them 10-12whp. Often $2-300 cold air intakes only give you 10whp. People are buying headers for $600-1300 that give 25whp gains so the market is there!

Combine this intake manifold with a cold air intake, a tune, and some other little goodies and you could be up 50whp pretty quick which is very noticeable.

Which isn't bad, At 50RWHP that would put the motor's output at more than that of the DI 3.6, and this engine is lacking that DI feature.

Not bad at all considering what it is. Also, this intake is sure to help out any guys that decide to TT a V6, not sure if there's any out there that would do this, but there's those V6 Camaros with the TT DI 3.6 motor.

Is anyone known to have tried this mod? Looks like couple of people have gotten the insulator and spacer, but I haven't seen anyone around with this.

Looks like the price is lower now, too...

i'm pretty sure nothing came of this. the V6 guys are trying whatever they can to get some HP out. i've never read anything about this. if this put 25 to the wheels, then i'm sure it would be talked about like crazy. plus, this thread is over 2 years old...probably nothing happened.

I assume the "NEW" tune avail for the V6 would go hand and hand with this

Yep, the tune that Hazer had done was from the same outfit that supplies these... Between the intake, CAI and a tune, I bet the V6 would really move.

Why, oh why did I get the extended warranty!?
