V6 exhaust washer mod

OK I read the mod thread on thisexhaust. WTF, like putting ballons on the spokes of a bike wheel.

There were many doubters on the washer mod. Most have been thoroughly impressed...and the fact that it is easy to do, adjustable (really loud or just a bit more than stock), and reversible makes it a mod worth trying. I can't speak for the V6, but it was well worth it on the V8. Call it ghetto, call it lame, but I've gotten more compliments on the sound than I ever did before. May not give you that $1300 Corsa sound (which sounds great BTW), but for about a buck you can drastically change the sound of your car, in a good way. Most who have tried this would agree. And if you don't like it, just take the washers off. Piece of cake.

Why would he link to a site that doesn't even sell exhaust for our cars? That link is for an H2. I have a hard time believing that will fit a G8.

Lots of info there. Just requires picking up some washers and slapping them inbetween the flange bolts before the muffler. You don't need a jack, just slide under there and have at it.

Why create a leak? wtf? CAI with stock exhaust sounds fine on the V6.Sounds like a wet fart with the washers.Too bad you let up on the throttle on the pass-by vid thou.

Finally tried the washer MOD 2nite,not to bad.The guy who started this thread drove his car like a granny,wasn't impressed dude you gotta hammer that throttle harder.Made a couple of videos at WOT but my wife did a shitty job filming.She filmed the dashboard instead of the road.I do have a CAI too(V6).I will make some new videos at work tomorrow where there's a nice long open road.

Actually,the more I watch these videos the better is sounds....hmmm..but,It sounds too much like a looooooong fart at idle,like burrrrrrrrrrrr.I want the exhaust sound to talk,like bur bur bur bur bur bur bur bur,Like Charlie's car does.But at WOT it sounds pretty good !
