I couldn't agree more! After reading this post last night I did the Bass mod first thing in the morning. So far this is the only mod to have saved me money - I was in the process of having a local car audio shop price me out some upgrades to the factory system - no longer necessary! What an improvement!

    Thanks again!

I know the washer mod (in the exhaust-to-muffler flange) is ghetto but after trying it last night I'm pleased with the sound it makes now. It'll hold me over until my mod account rejuvenates! Others might be interested if they want some rumble on a budget...

It simply involved putting a 5/16 steel washer on the lower muffler flange bolt (use the lower bolt to allow for water drainage) between the two flanges. This allows for some exhaust gas to escape before reaching the muffler - giving you some rumble for less than $0.25 and 10 minutes of your time using hand tools. I'm sure this has been done on many cars for many years but it was the first time I heard of it so others might be in the same boat!
