Hey all,
As the title says, it's time! I have a 2009.5 G8GT that has 211k miles on it. It is still all original except for a CAI. Still has the DOD active. We are the second owner as my brother purchased it back in 1/2010. He did have a single lifter changed a long time ago but it's still stock, cats and all. Looking to do the DOD delete, and replace the cam with an LS3 New #12623063. Old #12603844, 204/211. 551/525 117 out of a 2015 Camaro SS w/20k miles. I know it will need a tune, what else would you recommend for it. The cam will come with the factory springs and pushrods.

The reason we are doing this now is that I have a collapsing #6 intake lifter. I've pulled the head, the lifter roller looks ok, the cam lob looks ok as well. Has the 821 heads already

It will be for my 18 yr old and want to stay somewhat sane . That is why I was thinking of the LS3 stock cam.

What about the oil pump, it still had 50+psi cold and 30ish hot.
Any thoughts of what to change out at this time? The motor has had Mobil1 since my brother has owned it.

Thanks,
John
