Polished PS cover stained. Can it be saved?
Many years ago I purchased a polished cover for the PS fluid resovoir. Unfortunately, at some point when my radiator neck cracked, coolant was thrown all over the engine. The result on my PS cover were stains, or reactions, that I can’t seem to remove. Anyone know of this is salvageable? Or am I just going to have to replace it?
Have you tried different aluminum polishes?

1/4 mile 10.917 at 130.44mph 564 RWHP 568 Torque.
Do you know if it is clear coated or not?
That can be polished out, water spots.
You will need a buffing wheel likely or you will spend some time by hand
Get some never dull and try that first.

Tried a couple of different ones. Did absolutely nothing. The filler cap must be totally different because there is t a single spot on it. ����*♂️Originally Posted by Kermit

Just scuff and paint it f it doesn't pan out.
