Default Dead Cluster, programming of replacement

    Hello,

My cluster died and need to replace with body control module. Well the shop already replaced the BCM and the cluster didn't come alive.

Can you recommend someone for programming a replacement cluster?

    Regards,

    Curt

Dealership or an independent with the GM tools to do it...call around

Assuming the due diligence was done on the connections etc.

What signs pointed to the BCM?

Perhaps the shop misdiagnosed it. They couldn’t tell which was the culprit, BCM or cluster.

Perhaps it’s a scare tactic but some report that when reprogramming it throws a mileage error flag unless done properly.
