Get new struts and shocks or leave

Looking to lowered my g8 gxp and was curious which spring would work far as strut/shocks or leave it stock. Car has 35k miles

1. Eibach lowering springs (Which shock and strut)

2. H&R lowering springs (Which shock and strut)

What is your setup?

Not a GXP just a GT but I have Tein springs and PPV struts. It is pretty comfortable and handles well. Looks good too. Before someone cries about the PPV struts let me point out this is my little librarian looking wife's daily driver. She has zero complaints.

when I replace my struts I'm most likely going to go ppv struts too

I put on the Eibach Pro Kit, PPV struts and Whiteline mounts and it is a very nice ride even on uneven PA roads. Good handling upgrade, but not harsh at all.

Lowering springs almost always have higher spring rates (lbs/inch of spring deflection) than stock. So with the crap roads up here in the NE, I didn’t dare lower my GT. So I stayed with the stock springs but did do PPVs dampers at 25k miles which nicely tied down the handling without being harsh (after break-in).

I used the Eibach #38137.140 and Monroe Severe Service PPV struts and shocks with the Whiteline adjustable Strut Tower Brace #KSB637 and mounts, and the 4 way adjustable front 30mm sway bar BHF62XZ and 22mm adjustable rear sway bar BHR82HZ. The Monroe rears are #553021, fronts are Left #553020 and right#553019. Truly amazing handling with help from extensive chassis reinforcement (welding required) for a 50/50 weight distribution (full spare/jack and PPV dual battery set up in the trunk, improves the launch and handling.)
