Am I missing the top two transmission bell housing bolts?
Is it missing the top two bolts? Im pretty sure they're missing but I've never seen this trans down before so I'm not sure of the bolt locations.
I've noticed a rattle under load only and at 2k rpm and up. Had the transmission down for a torque converter install about 12 months before I noticed the noise. Would/could the missing bolts cause the trans to rattle against the block?

I don't know if it could cause the rattle, but the bolts are missing.

No way did they break off. Are you the original owner? If not I'd bet previous owner did trans work and did not reinstall the top two bolts. They are not easy. Take some effort. And if the other bolts are in place and tight I can't believe the trans would be rattling against the block.
