Default Modded G8 beat by stock G8?

I raced at MIR and ran a 13.6 at 104 mph. I went up against a guy with a bone stock G8. He ran a 13.3, we started even (almost identical R/T) and he started to pull on me. I have longtubes, custom 3 inch exhuast, intake and a tune. Could my tune be off? Or am i missing something? I even asked what his rear tire pressure was and it was spot on with mine. I know the stock gearing won't help but i figured i would beat a stock G8 with the work i have done.

I didn't believe him when he said he was stock. He popped the hood and everything is stock, even stock exhaust. No cam lope, even checked the trunk for NOS.

There are things that hide. Tune, rockers, punched cats, LS3s. Or it's just fast.

    Yours, does seem slow.

What kind of tune do you have? The tune is hugely important. Many have run around 13.0 with long tubes, tune and CAI. You have to get a good launch (mash it) and hold it in third at the end of the run.

And 13.3 is super fast for bone stock, hard to believe. 13.5 was considered fast for stock and it ranged all the way to 14.0 based on the car and conditions.

Some cars run better than others but your car definitely needs attention. When I was bone stock I was running 13.4 but I only had 700 miles on it before I started to mod. I'm sure it would have been faster if I had gotten a few thousand more miles on it. I have a one that runs really well but when I was running with your mods, I was running 12.5-12.6. The only thing I had in addition to those mods was a UDP. Who tuned your car? Was it dyno'd? Can you post your slip? I'd like to see the tale of the tape.

I'm going to disagree since there are 3 GT's posted with sub 13 second slips.
