    Default GXP Wheels

Will the OEM GXP wheels clear if you have the Brembo upgrade on the rears? My memory is slowly fading away.....

Yes, however I don't recall if they clear the SS pad - you may want to run the 2006 V series style pads to be safe.

I've seen them on SS models but I have not tried my GXPs wheels on either of our SS sedans.

    No worry

I might be able to check more when I get my SS out.

The GXP wheel is very close to the [edit -adding front] caliper looking at other photos, so it may be close with the revised pad on the SS vs early Gen 5 Camaro

But the first gen V pad will fit [same as GXP] without issue.

If you are looking for a set, I just posted some. We are thinning the garage out substantially [and maybe a vehicle... or two]

That's the reason for the opening post School me on why pads would effect fitment..also I have the brackets from Rob @ Wretched. They are '10/'11 Camaro calipers. Not sure if that changes fitment.

So the whole pad ordeal is really about clearance on the wheel barrel and face

When the GXP was done it was sorted with a Gen 1 V series pad

The Camaro and SS pad used some additional pad tabs [known as the mickey mouse ears] which on a wheel smaller than a 20" can hit the barrel / inner rim

Those pads are actually made by brembo. We cut the ears off mine.

I worked on that stuff, it was fun

Many people cut the ears off but it all depends on what you can get.

I changed pads before I installed the calipers with aftermarket. I have a guy close to me that's willing to let me try his GXP wheel for fitment..will see
