Default G8 GT DOD engagement speed

I have a 2009 G8 GT. The DOD engages as low as 35 mph. Is this normal. When it engages at low speeds, the engine vibrations are excessive... anyone else having a similar issue. HATE me some DOD... Thanks

Yep, normal! My Durango does it at lower speeds, but I have a button to turn it off and on. DOD doesn’t work under a certain temp either. My Durango doesn’t care.

    Have it tuned off.

Get rid of it. MPG “loss” isn’t enough to worry about.

I got mine tuned out when my car was on the dyno. Best decision i ever made. Didn't notice a significant drop in MPG and it made my car SOOOOO much nicer to drive.

Drive in manual mode at that speed. Eliminates AFM.
    Rest in Peace Charlie!

    Thanks for the feed back...
I purchased a sct x4 late programmer 2017. It's suppose to disable the DOD, but it doesn't work. I've been working with sct tech support for months trying to get it fixed.

Does using manual mode really disable AFM?

Manual mode does not disable AFM on my '09.5 GT, but it is tuned; and I do not know if it disabled it prior to the tune.
