    Default Looking to rebuild

I want to rebuild my motor and need some advice as I approach 200k, 1st what the best machine shops near Md that I can go to,2nd whats the best head and cam combination that I can use to get more power and maintain reliability,3rd whats the highest bore I can go to and what pistons to use. I am NOT mechanically inclined but I was told I would benifit more on power by doing a rebuild.

Might want to explore your long block/ crate motor options before you commit to a rebuild.

I looked into that and the only crates out are 6.2 and some folks say you get more power out of a rebuild

What is your budget first. There are a staggering number of choices in the LS world. Your stock engine gave you somewhere around 300 or more hp at the wheels. Do not expect more than 10 percent increase in a stock rebuild. You can shave the head some when you have the valve job done. Add headers and intake. Another 2-3 percent increase. IMO
