    Here are some visual references that might help someone else if they run into this issue.

    The orange peg in the drawing is what engages the sensor arm.

    Just one more update.

    This issue is SOLVED. It's been nearly 11 months and the brake light issue never came back. My theory is that like with most electrical/electronic parts, the computer has "learned" it over time like it would with a new MAF. So, no calibration needed. Either that or GM is that good that they made this part with such precision that it puts out the EXACT same voltage (down to the 10th) as the original part and I highly doubt that.

    In the end, that loose bracket that I showed in my last post was the problem. As soon as I secured it, no more issues.
