09 Traverse speedo not returning to 0
My sister in law asked about the speedometer on her 09 Traverse not returning to 0 when she comes to a stop. I thought the VSS could be weak or the circuit ground could need cleaned, or maybe the needle motor has lost it's zero. It does go back to zero when she turns it off. I've asked her to download a speedometer app on her phone to see how far it's off at speed. Results are pending.
Does anyone know of any common causes for an 09 Traverse?

yep, stepper motor usually or IC inside cluster sending fake news to stepper motor, Look up Technicar for parts

It was the tach she was looking at. The tach was not returning to zero when she stopped. lol
This is the same sister in law that complained that the radio in her old Grand Am wouldn't accept a CD. I discovered as I started taking it apart that there was already a CD in it.

Maybe she had a Hybrid, their Tachs drop to Zero at stops !
