Default Need a little help with brake squeal after new pads and rotors

I recently swapped out the front rotors and pads on my GXP. After the swap I'm getting a high pitched squeal when stopping at very low speed. Mostly noticeable in the morning when backing out of my garage, but I've also noticed the squeal when creeping forward like in stop and go traffic. This seems to happen when the brakes are cold or after the car has been sitting for a few hours. Regular/high speed braking is fine with no noise. Really annoying to say the least.

Previously I was running the stock GXP rotors and Autozone Duralast ceramics with no noise. I replaced them with cross drilled rotors from brakeperformance.com and Akebono ceramic pads with all new hardware. All contact points have been greased, pads sanded (multiple times), and rotors cleaned (multiple times). I've even switched the pads from the driver's side and put them on the passenger's side and vice versa. All of this to no avail. I thought maybe the pads and rotors needed some time to seat to each other, but it has been a couple hundred miles already and the squeal hasn't gone away. I've read multiple threads talking about brake squeal, but no real solutions that I've seen. So, anyone have any ideas of how to quiet this squeal???

Side note: I have the exact same rotor and pad setup on the rear of the car with my CTS-V1 brembos and the rears are quiet as a mouse.

    Edited - loaded TSB etc.

Go get the copper paste from the SS TSB. Not much else works as well.

    TSB #PI1496C

    Kent Industries [copper] - P2005

    GM p/n 19303310

    I have attached the TSB.

I'm using a Permatex brand copper paste on the squealing brakes currently. Everything that the TSB is showing I have already done. Can the brembo copper paste be that much better than the Permatex stuff?

I've seen a half dozen different ones fail within a week to 6 weeks, give or take.

I guess I'll take the brakes apart again and follow the instructions in the TSB and see what happens.

Personally, I would buy a cheap pair of pads and replace them. JUST to see what happens.
I struggled with the possibility there is that much high frequency vibration in the caliper to pad connection. My thought is there is enough movement in the pad that the face is vibrating on the rotor surface. I could be wrong, as it's happened many times. To see if it's that scenario, I would change one of 2 things. Pad or rotor.

It's the pad to shim and then pad to caliper.

It breaks down other lesser compounds.

I was thinking about this option also. I think some cheap pads from autozone are only $20. I think my course of action is going to be to try the TSB procedure first and if there's no success with that then I'll go for some cheap pads to test.

Picked up four packets of the GM "magic grease" today for $6 total. Only one dealership in town had this stuff in stock. I might try to tackle this tonight once it cools off outside.

I was able to find a larger amount of this stuff online. It comes out to $23 shipped for 100g of this stuff. Or you can try a local GM dealership and get it in 2g bags for about $1.50 each.

You should be pretty fast at removing the wheels and pads by now.
