My craptastic 2 pc slotted from DBAs do it. Its a whirring noise.

How do you get a warped rotor? It isn't really "warped" - but ive seen garbage out of the box on aftermarket rotors ive tested before with several issues [casting thickness and machining issues]

I have seen some get warped by heat cycle - really hot application (like at a race track) and a sudden quench in water (puddle on track). that can be bad news but it's not major by any means.

and I've seen where people over torque the snot out of the lugs which distorts (warps) the hat face. but I mean major disparity in torque. like 500 ft lbs on 2 lugs and 100 on the other 3 or something.

Otherwise I agree most issues are the deposits or other heat checking of the interface surface.

The whirring - I get that also but I have slotted rotors and most of the time with slotted rotors I expect to get some noise.

Yeah heat cycle etc can do it

But I have seen garbage from companies right out of the box with excessive run out etc. Kind of aggrevating when the car is in pieces or you have some data to collect
