What should I do for better times?
I have a 09 g8 making 465whp with:
231/244 .615 .630 112+4 cam
TEA ls3 Heads and Rick Crawford manifold
Looks Lt's
Corsa exhaust
Vcm intake
3200 stall
Stock gearing*
I went to the track with a set of hoosier 275/40-17s
What should I do to get this time down?

3.45 gears would help. Looks like a pretty damn good ET already though...

yeah I think gearing would help also... I was worried that the 275/45 tires would throw off the trans shift point in a negative way??

What was the da? Did you log the run? Is it a Crawford trans tune? How tall are those tires?
Going to a taller tire than what the trans tune is set for will effect ets.

What about the unnecessarily slow stock 3-4 shift? Did the trans tune fix that?

I think you will gain quite a bit by swapping your cam for one of Rick's; the one you have is pretty big and likely makes good power near redline but you are losing lots of torque down low which is what our cars need to get moving quickly.

For your given mph, I'd say your e.t. is pretty good. Your tire diameter should be accounted for in your tune. After that, time to save money for FI.

i agree with swapping to one of rick's cam profiles... i just wasn't sure if i went with a 427 bottom end if that would make my current cam more relevant.

I have a 230/242 cam and trap 123-125 NA in +1000 or more DA. So a bigger cam works, regardless of what most will say. I agree that your MPH is super low for some reason though. I would restall your converter to 4000 or so if you can/want to.
