I remember reading that Dede actually works for JHP.

Also, in my experience, Dede is not very helpful at all. He will post all this cool stuff, then not answer any follow up questions you might have.

I just finished this install on my G8:

I ordered the parts from JHP, but the only thing 'unique' that they provide is the GPS mounting bracket. The lower strip (under the vents) could have been cut, but it's hard to tell. I have photos from my install and of most angles of the parts (as people on the 'other' board may have seen). Let me know what you are interested and I'll thrown them online.

All of the photos are online in a zip file: GPS_Images.zip (~26MB). They include the entire install of the in-dash GPS, HSV Smoker's Package, and a VIM/Back-up camera. They have been scaled a little, so if someone wants a full-res photo just let me know. Hopefully by this weekend I should have a detailed write-up about the install.
