Default New Trunion Kit On The Market

    GMP-346-1370 Trunion kit w/o bolts - $159.99
    GMP-346-1371 Trunion kit with bolts - $175.99
    GMP-346-1372 Complete LS3 rocker arm set - $329.00

These new bushing LS trunnion kits for factory LS rockers are designed to increase durability and load capacity without the failure prone to needle bearings. Engineered to provide maximum lubrication to the trunion while also providing maximum load capabilities, the NEW bushing LS trunion UP-grade kits give the LS world peace of mind.

The proprietary bushing material is fed with an oil channel at the 11 and 1 O’Clock positions of the trunion. This channel constantly feeds oil to the bushing surface ensuring proper lubrication unlike needle bearing trunions the have to rely on oil “finding” it’s way to the needles.

The greater surface area of the bushing will support 300 times the load of what a needle will due to the fact that only 3 needle on the bottom of the race are carrying the load.

Also there is NO CHANCE of needle bearings destroying the engine when using much more aggressive cam profiles and a rocker fails.

Kit includes brand new GM LS (8) straight exhaust & (8) offset intake rocker arms with HD trunions installed and 12.9 Grade rocker arm bolts

    Greg,

What would be a good after market rocker arm set instead of going with the trunion upgrade kit, that could be use for a street/strip application? I was looking for roller tips on the rocker arms. thank you.

The Comp Cams 1676-16 would be a good full roller for a LS3 headed engine.

I wonder how this trunion kit compares to older ones on the market? I need to look up the one I have installed. It's been awhile.

You most likely have the Comp kit installed.
I'm not sure how they compare. I take manufacture propaganda for what it is worth

Will the bushing wear out faster than needle bearings.

Yes but the factory ones are bushings. But these ones can be replaced for a "rebuild".
The reason I like these is because it's hard to fail. The needle bearings only one needs to fail and the rest will follow.
Just a more reliable setup. But not the best performing.
