Default Upper rad mounts - will caprice mounts work?

My car did not come with the radiator mounts. They are $80 a piece!

Anyone know if you can retrofit the caprice mount and bracket? They are much cheaper, but I can't find any physical pictures, just diagram pictures.

    Here are the part numbers.

Oh Looks like there was a redesign in 2011. We only list one set of brackets so either will fit the bracket so the redesign must be how it holds in the radiator. Think you might have to be the guinea pig for this one.

My caprice was built Febuary 2011 so I got the old design. We will have to summon an owner of a 2012 to see what the new design looks like. I will put in a request for pics over at Newcaprice.com see what we get.

According to this diagram, it takes a bolt and the G8 does not. I'm gonna stop at a dealer and see if any are in stock.

Lol they're all over the place with these mounts.

2012+ Caprice and Chevy SS, they went back to the original mount or something close to it.

I'll take some pics of my G8 mounts tomorrow. There is one piece that bolts on & one piece that slides down and locks

Think the bolt and Nut (4 & 5) are to hold the condenser in place. There would be no point in bolting the bracket to the radiator just to have another piece hold the radiator. The bracket bolts into the front clip and the mount moves down the bracket and hold the radiator in place.

But yea 12 caprices list a new part number as well and back up in the $80.00 range. Wierd.
