Nah, you're not the new slow, you're the new average. I'm around 350-375 rwhp, I'm the new slow. LOL

I looked at the SRT8s too before deciding to buy a G8. Night and day between the quality of the paint. I don't know if it so much the paint, or the crappy buff-out. There is little reflection in even a new car on the lot. And open the door, or the trunk: almost no effort to buff a finish in the door sills or in the trunk surround. For a person who might be happy living with diminished expectations of almost everything in their life, the Dodge's paint treatment fits that mindset. But for the money that a Demon costs now I would expect much better. By the way, I bought a Demon, but I sold it.

A 1971 Dodge Demon 340. The 340s. The last of so many GREAT Dodge musclecars of that era.

My RAM paint was OK, but my Durango paint is so so. It holds up to stuff well, but it's just not shiny and deep and it has a ton of "orange peel". It's my DD so no biggie and I sure do enjoy the V8 under the hood.

2009.5 MSM GXP 500ish N/A RWHP. Mods include but aren't limited to: Texas Speed 418 (6.8L) fully forged held together with ARP from top to bottom, PRC 255cc heads, Rick Crawford intake plenum, TB port, polish and tune, Roto-Fab 102mm CAI w/LS7 MAF, Kooks 1-7/8" headers wrapped with DEI, Corsa catless system, Circle D 3200 Stall, 3.45 final drive, BMR's complete street bushing kit and sway bars, Eibach Pro Kit, G-Force Axles, running on staggered VMR 710's with Bridgestone RE11 rubber. HSV triple gauge pack with Calais smokers kit mod, V6 tails, debadge/rebadge, V6 door handles, AU black door trim, Maverick Man under hood strut covers, & washer and bolt kit, fully corrected paint thanks to Adams Polishes and my hard work. Built with reliability in mind with some power for those times when you need to pass or go over a big hill. Just a poser, not a racer!

I have a friend who has one. Owned many HiPo cars, Viper, M3, M5, C5,6,7, and more. while he keeps his pick ups until they have 60,000 miles. His HellCat is the first car he's kept for more than one year. And the first car he's never done any mod's too. Not even some kind of tune on the HellCat. He loves it!

They are discounting new 2016 challenger hellcats to the tune of 15k++

I'm no dodge fan but that's an absurd car for 55k with a 3 year warranty.

I really like the new zl1 but I just don't think I could buy one new at the current pricing when you can get a hellcat for so much cheaper and eat into the new car depreciation .

Depends. I hate the wheels they chose. The 1LE wheels are far nicer. I'd rather have the Challenger hellcat, only because the Camaro is cramped and at least you can fit a booster seat in the Challenger and luggage in the trunk.

Can't deny the performance of it though.

My brother has a 16 SS Camaro and it is nice, especially in hyper blue, my biggest complaint is it's cramped on the inside.

    No doubt....

I'm just not paying 70k for one and loosing 30k in 2 years.

It's the better handling car I just don't have the time or bank account to track it. Hellcat is more comfortable and gets with it running the 8 speed auto.

    Good old man race car
