Default V6 Belt tensioner problem. Help please

So I go to change the tensioner and the bolt on the right side is behind the P/S pulley? Do I have to remove the P/S pulley on the pump to remove that bolt?? I've got the GM manual it says nothing about the pulley being in the way. The picture does not even show it being there. Figures GM would do something like that. Thought this was going to be simple 3 bolts. If anyone can help please. Had to put I back together. Crap..

You're correct, the GM service manual doesn't say anything about the PS pulley being in the way.
Before you go removing the PS pulley.
    With the belt already removed.
Unbolt 2 of the retaining bolts from the (pump and pulley assembly) to PS bracket, and attempt to rotate the complete pump out of the way.
You'll get resistance from the high pressure piping still attached to the pump.
Swing it just far enough to the side in a plane parallel to the beltline.
Just enought to get onto the bolt for the Tensioner.

Thanks Paul. I will try that in the morning. I was going to do that just did not want to open up a can of worms, if you know what i mean. Just wish the manual said something about that. Thanks again and i will let you know if that works.

That worked out great. The pump was a pain to back in. Thanks again paul.
