    Default Rear muffler heat shield

Has anyone had an issue where the rear muffler heat shield rotted around the bolts that hold it up? I temp used a washer to hold it up but will need to replace. Any one have had to replace them and costs for them? Of course it makes sense to change out the stock GT mufflers since they have to come off to get the other bolts above the mufflers

I had an issue but it was not due to rot.

Mine had stress cracks around the bolt areas from it being loose .. Dealer didn't warranty it so I found both sides/pieces from a salvaged G8 for 50 bucks plus shipping.

CP thanks, they are about 60 bucks new each. Since the mufflers have to come off, might as well get a set of Solo axle backs while I am at it and put those on
