    Default Autodim Mirror install

Just finished this install. Ordered a 2007 Trailblazer part# DCA883459596 off of Ebay for $30.00. Basically only done this due to my $100 blendmount 9500IX passport radar detector mirror mount that came out of my 2006 Tahoe and wouldn't fit the G8 mirror due to the flip button on the bottom. $30 mirror or another $100 mount, hummmm.... It was plug and play, easy.

Kind of makes one wonder why the car didn't come with one in the first place, doesn't it?

Some of the best mods are the ones you forget about because they just seem like it was supposed to come that way. I bought a Saab 9-7X (same as Trailblazer) mirror off eBay awhile ago and I always forget to list it when people ask what things I've changed on my car. Like you said, it should have come from the factory with that part.

Really? unplug the old, plug in the new one? No splicing wires? Any issue with how the new mirror mounts vs. the old?

Yeah it is that simple. Just one screw and one plug.

Is the plug from the roof line the same then? I see some on eBay but the wire's been cut where it would go up in the headliner and still has the plug in the mirror. Just get the 'new' one, unplug the old one and plug into the existing one in the roof?

    Unplug this:

    Unscrew this:

Slide off the old mirror and then reverse the process.
