    Question ECM/PCM removal tips?

I need to remove my ECM/PCM from my 2009 G8 GT so I can mail it to Diablosport, but I'm having a tough time removing it. I see that it's located under the fuse box on the passenger side, but even after unbolting the fuse box and moving it to the side, I can't figure out how to release the retaining clips holding the ECM in the tray. Does anyone who has done this in the past have any tips?

These instructions I found on Intense Racing's site don't seem very descriptive: http://www.intense-racing.com/docs/P...stallation.pdf

You talking about clips on the cables, or the clips holding the ECM down?

The cables have a slider lock on the top of each, that you slide over, then there is an arm that rotates up that disengages the connector from the ECM.

Then with the cables unhooked, just lift up on one edge of the ECM and it will come up from the bent sheet metal clips holding it to the chasis.

I've done mine by removing the cables first. Fishing it out and getting it back in can be a pain too.

Go through the wheel well. Pull back the red clips to unlock the latches.

Edit: The red clips are on the heads of the plugs. They lock the lever/latch on the plug down. Once they are released you can pull up on the top of the latch and the plug comes straight off.

    Resurrecting an old thread.
Anybody figure out how to access the ECM/PCM on the GXP or 09.5 GT with the unit under the fuse box?
