Oh my. I've been off here for a while and had no clue Charlie was ill in the first place. Like many on here, he's one reason people enjoy their cars. Charlie was always a huge help with his no-BS assessments and real-world fixes, with some good wit to boot. Our prayers go out to Charlie and his family.

I could have sworn I'd already posted but couldn't find it. What kind of cancer was Charlie trying to fight off? Its sad to hear of his passing. His family and friends will miss him as we will on this forum.

Charlie was battling stage 4 lung cancer. When we found it, it had already spread into other areas, including spine and brain. I too want to thank everyone again for their posts. It's so wonderful to know he meant so much to so many people. I'll be selling his car soon. So, if anyone is interested in buying it send me a PM. I have to do it by the end of December, as I cannot afford to pay the monthly note.

    So sorry to hear this.

I'm sure someone on this forum will gladly take it. It's got to be tough knowing how much that car and this forum meant to him.

    RIP Charlie.

This happened when I was out of the state in training. I know I am just getting to this now, but better late than never, eh?

I'm very sorry to hear about this. I don't get to this forum much anymore, but I did buy some parts from Charlie back in 2009 when I got my G8, and he was very helpful. My condolences to his family.

I haven't been here for some time and just found out but I'm very sorry to hear the bad news. He was a great guy and wherever he's going I'm sure he'll be well liked there too. RIP Charlie.
