    Default Vector single turbo re-imagined.

I bought the Vector single turbo from Tim recently.
I've been going through the kit to see what is there and what needs to be replaced. This is not a good daily driver for Michigan. It did take it's toll on a few things. I didn't expect perfection.
One of my local GTO brothers gave me a new turbo blanket, so there is $100 I don't need to spend.
I had all the hot pipes welded and took to a head rebuilder to get them flat. The cold pipes I cleaned up and they are at the powder coater. I'm going with a dark silver metallic.

Here are the manifolds after rework was completed.

Turbo blanket guy also loaned me a set of heads so I could bolt this up on my engine stand.

Now here is the part never seen online. Each part as it's bolted to the engine.

    Rest in Peace Charlie!

Wow that's a great mock up Ray. I bet that's going to be an insanely tight squeeze clearing the steering shaft on the drivers side. Very cool to see how it all goes together.

maybe paint the pipes and wrap them. keep the heat down under the hood and look a bit better with that blanket.
at least the down pipe and where it runs by the oil pan.
just don't go crazy with the wrap or welds could start breaking after time.

Sorry Tim. I appreciate the deal I received. I can see why the turbo blanket had a hole in it now. Waste gate too close to turbo housing.

The hot pipes are getting cerma chromed. Same thing I did with my ARH. There was quite a bit of chaff tape that I took off the pipes. When I replace it I'll discuss this with our GTO turbo freak.
