Default What do you think of this combo?

I think besides the roto-fab and tune, I am just going to do shorties, ported intake and throttle body. I have magnaflows and and an x pipe welded in where the restriction is in the exhaust. I really would like to do a cam, but I can't have the drop in MPG as I drive about 400 miles a week. I would like to be constistantly into the 12's. Noise and cost is detering me from long tubes. I don't want the exhaust any louder than it is. So do you guys think this combo will let me realize my goal?

stock cats are the biggest restriction in the exhaust I believe. You might break into the 12s with a really strong tune. Likely it will take good air to do it.

That combo with hi flow cats and a good tune should get you there in cooler weather(under 80/50% Humid)

If you go long tube and stay with the stock mufflers you won't have much more noise at all. That combination is almost whisper quiet until you mash the gas. The gains from the LTs will be much more than the shorties (search the forums on this) I hate noisy exhaust and I have the LT's and stock muffs and love the sound. The cost can be prohibitive but if you get next to nothing from the shorties then you have wasted that money. As was said earlier the restriction lies in the stock Cats. So no matter how free your system is, it can only be as good as it's most restrictive part.
