Default Livernois LS3 419, Engine installed. Dyno video uploaded

Today while I was waiting for the engine to arrive, I made a stop over at my local dealership. This is where a good relationship with the Service Dept. pays off. I took the oil pan over and all it's parts and cleaned them in their parts washer.

I decided to go get the engine instead of waiting for delivery. 48 miles away. I went through some serious rain on the way home, but the engine was packed safely and stayed dry.

    On the engine stand

    Hmmmm, whats this?

After getting the engine in the shop, I started swapping the springs on the heads.

Difference between the PAC 1518's and Livernois' dual springs.

After I swapped all the springs, I went back to engine assembly.
Number 1 at top dead center? I hope so.

Cam in it's place and retainer plate torqued down.

Crank sprocket installed with dot at 12 o'clock. Piston at TDC.

Cam gear and chain installed. Cam bolts torqued down.

    Rear cover is already on.
I had to clearance the windage tray a little.

    Windage tray torqued down.

NOTE: I had to take the oil pan back off and shim up the windage tray. 3 washers was enough. This current pics do not show this.

Front cover on and oil pan on and torqued down.

    Lifters going in.

    First head on.

Both heads on and torqued down.

Push rods in and rockers on. Good pic of coolant pipe. Block off in back also installed.

This thing goes in the G8 tomorrow. I hope.

Rockers are on and torqued down. With Number 1 on compression stroke, I used the GM procedure for torquing every thing down.

Now on to finding the intake centerline. This cam is supposed to be 109.

After doing the math my intake centerline ended up being 109.5, that is acceptable.

SLP under drive pulley on next. After using a propane torch it went on rather easy. ARP torqued to 240 lbs ft.

Motor out to the garage to mate with the transmission, flex plate install and install TC bolts and torque.

Flex plate on and torqued down. Line up the trans.

    Last pic before install tomorrow.
