Default LS3 mini stroker cam choice

I've picked an off the shelf Comp Cam using link bars.

It's a comp cam off the shelf grind, but it can be changed up a little. I'm going to run the cam through Mike Norris.

    113 LSA +4? probably.
Duration at .050" lift. Intake 235, exhaust 251.
    Lift .621" intake, .624" exhaust.

Going with link bars, but concerned about the manufacturers comments. Most say up to 6500 rpm, but I should be able to red line @7000 with no problems. WOT shifting at 6800.

    Comments?
    Rest in Peace Charlie!

What is the part number for the link bar lifters that you are using (are they Lunati)? Here are the lifters I ended up going with 72437 LUN. They are good all the way to 7K rpms. I think the other ones are 72332 LUN good for 6500 rpm's and they were meant for stock spring pressures.

I talked to Greg about it. Were still talking price. I do want the higher rpm versions, however, Comp cam recommends a 6500 rpm lift for a cam that is good to 7200.

Forgive me since I am not sure I understand the logic for going with a lifter that is rated to 6500 rpms but you have a cam that will allow you to spin up to 7,000+ (which is where you want to go anyway). I asked the same questions of a few different people (including Lunati) and going with higher rated lifters is just cheap insurance IMO and give you some "breathing" room if you ever decide to get a more aggressive setup. That set I recommended has a wider roller area allowing the cam to be a little "bigger".

I didn't get Comp cams logic either. I'm trying to make sure that everything I buy is going to work well together.

I was told by Lunati that both style link-bar lifters are actually rated at 6500 RPM's but the "high rpm" versions are for motors that plan to stay in the high rpm's for extended periods of time. Ultimately the Lunati rep told me to go with the $300 lifters rather than the $600 "high rpm" version.

That was the original set I was going to go with but between a couple of buddies here, Lunati and Rick (G8-4-Speed), they pointed me to the other set. 72437 LUN, they are pricier but I would rather not take chances.

Wrong numbers posted for the high rev I believe. See below. Greg has both for great price.

    72432 LUN not 437

the 532's are top of the line of the 3 styles that they have for this kind of application and I didn't pay $700 for them.

These are not link-bar correct? The 532's are around $600 through Greg.

Edit: The 432 version are not link bar lifters. In the pic they show the link bar but the title states otherwise. Lunati only makes 2 style (links above) link-bar for the LS motors.
