    Default will this cam fit?

Im ready to pull the trigger on a cam but its kinda unclear on livernois website if this will fit or not. Looking to go with the stage 2 r max. Does this cam require anything else or will it have an clearance issues?

If your heads are stock and you have good valve control with a set of good double springs i think you are ok. i did not use this cam. but i called livernois and asked them the question what is their largest cam without any modifications to the pistons. they said this one. but e mail or call them up to make sure i am correct.

You will have piston to valve clearance in the .060"s with that cam. Yes, it will fit, but you have very little room for error in the case of an over-rev.

just what the OP does not want to hear...haha

I have the livernois Stage 1 and its driveable and surges just a bit. but you get used to it...

of course, after the fact, I read all the PatrickG raving and then regretted it......

MGM GT ran(dogged) that cam with .025 milled heads and never had failure. Not street friendly at all even with a 3200 IMO anyway
