I was worried about it for a while (and still kind of am) but I can be a little paranoid about things sometimes. I am starting to think that it is normal.

I actually took a video of mine the other day (had been trying for a few days, but sometimes my crappy cellphone just doesn't pick it up).. Let me upload it and post a link so you can hear mine

Considering how far away I am standing (6ft+) and how little my phone actually records noise-wise , you can tell it's pretty damn loud lol I'm waiting for someone to ask if it's a diesel!

Holy crap Steve! I thought my car's motor was loud. Yours my friend takes the cake. Watching that video makes me feel much better about mine lol! Sorry, the sounds yours make may be normal for a stroked motor I have no clue. Some folks smarter than myself will have to chime in there. But yours is freaking LOUD.

    1. It is dumping fuel when it is cold. I would bet it runs rich all the time. If the oil is being thinned out by fuel it will make the engine noisy.
    2. What length push rods do you have and did they check for correct length on assembly?

My guess #1 is your biggest issue.

Not much oil flows to the rockers when at idle. Look at the video below....this is after driving the car. Pretty dry. Good pressure.

That seems a lot louder than mine. Mine is just a bit noisier than it was before the DOD delete. Even when bone stock mine made some noise when it would idle warm. Now it just seems a little bit more pronounced.

It's loud. I don't know if it's necessarily lifters... sounds more like the exhaust valves snapping closed and the headers amplifying the noise. First one I've heard like this with the DT headers, hard to say.

    2) 7.425 - though of course I wasn't there when they installed them so can I be 100% sure?
    1) Yeah I'm pretty sure it's pretty rich - hope to get that Patrick G tune in the next month or so and see if it'll be any better

I also have the noise of the tap tap and been told it's normal for a Cam/Dual Springs/Headers Modded car with LS engine. This drives me crazy because I think there's something wrong, side note it did get better with Patrick G tune and less gas being used or smell.
